Per Diem Dental Hygienist Assistant Needed In Florida

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.

Required Skills & Experience

• Candidates must have at least six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant Or Dental Hygiene Assistant Or in a Dental Assistant Internship to be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.

Required Education & Licensure

• High school diploma (or associates or higher) or GED. If you did not graduate high school in the States, then we MUST HAVE your high school information OR a higher education degree, but it must be an associate’s or higher (no vocational or certification education in lieu of a high school diploma)
• Associate’s degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).
• X-ray training certification.
• CPR certification.
• EFDA Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• Dental Radiography Certification (Required) - can also use a signed letter from a dentist you worked with stating you are trained and proficient in radiography.
