DocuSign Developer

Our client is seeking a DocuSign Developer that will report to the Manager, IT Development and will be deeply involved in the design, development, and deployment of secure, high-quality system solutions in collaboration with multiple business units on their transition to digital business processes.

This position requires deep hands-on expertise within the DocuSign ecosystem, including development and administration of DocuSign eSignature solutions, template and form creation, workflow automation, API integrations, and lifecycle management of envelope-based business processes. The successful candidate will partner with multiple business units to modernize and optimize digital transaction management across the organization.

*Must be eligible to work on W2 without sponsorship. Not eligible for C2C.

Pay Rate: $70 – $75/hr

Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Location: Hybrid; 2x/week in office — San Diego, Long Beach, Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, or Oakland (SF Bay Area). Remote option if located in Arizona, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain DocuSign eSignature solutions supporting enterprise business processes.
• Build and manage DocuSign Studio workflows, templates, forms, and reusable components for annual business operations and regulatory requirements.
• Create, enhance, and maintain DocuSign templates, PowerForms, conditional routing, recipient workflows, and advanced signing experiences.
• Design and develop user interfaces and application programs using technical specifications and design documents, with a focus on cloud-native solutions and modern frameworks.
• Provide technical architecture, testing, and support for API and out-of-the-box platform implementations of DocuSign.
• Gather business and technical requirements for projects and use cases.
• Communicate bugs, enhancements, and support requests directly to DocuSign.
• Maintain and support the DocuSign eSignature module and Medical Enrollment Automation workflows.
• Support year-end activity including creating and updating forms in partnership with the legal department for use by brokers.
• Manage user provisioning, account settings, and template configuration.
• Hands-on work with template updates, reports, and envelope updates.
• Develop and maintain integrations using the DocuSign Connect API.
• Develop efficient and cost-effective implementations, leveraging reusable features where possible.
• Support SaaS products deployed in Microsoft Azure, including RyanTracker Pro and TeamMate Plus.
• Drive operational excellence including incident management, process automation leveraging AI, and smooth platform deployments.
• Recommend and implement departmental process improvements to enhance agility and efficiency.
• Monitor and manage software configuration changes to address data reliability and customer satisfaction issues using cloud monitoring tools.
• Coordinate sustaining support across multiple application platforms and business processes in a cloud environment.
• Work self-directed with limited management oversight, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of DocuSign experience and 5+ years in enterprise application support and cloud-based solutions.
• Proven hands-on experience in user provisioning, configuration, template design and enhancement, coding, integration, and deployment of DocuSign applications.
• Experience configuring and supporting the DocuSign eSignature module.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to end users for DocuSign workflows and configurations.
• Experience evaluating and applying AI-enabled agreement capabilities (e.g., contract analytics, term extraction, risk identification) to improve throughput, quality, and compliance of DocuSign workflows.
• Solid experience with JavaScript and CSS responsive design practices.
• Expertise supporting applications built on.NET (2.0+) and Java, hosted across Windows and Linux environments and MuleSoft platforms.
• Familiarity with networking and security protocols including TCP/IP, SSL, DNS, LDAP, Active Directory, XML, IIS, authentication protocols, SSH, and SFTP.
• Experience with API integrations using Java, MuleSoft, and other tools preferred.
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and deploying/managing applications in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise cloud integration; Microsoft Azure and virtualization platform experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate and execute technical deliverables.
