Job Goal: To create dances and/or movement for each song in the musical and teach those movements to the cast. This person should be able to notate all dances, be able to follow a tight schedule and work with actors who have had no experience with dance.
Work Period: During production of musical which varies with the demands of the show. Person must be available afternoons and Saturdays.
Performance Responsibilities: Create large scale dance numbers and movement for individual soloists. Have a good vision of the time period in which the show takes place. Work with teens. Work with all non-dancers. Ensure that all movements are appropriate, politically correct, and are not suggestive of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or sex. Adhere to all BOE policies and other co-curricular policies and regulations.
