Job Title

Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (10:00–22:30) | 36–48 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care for inpatient PACU patients at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Perform pre- and post-procedure care for Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology patients
• Float within the PACU department to the Holding area as needed, with patient ratios up to 1:3–5 (PCU-equivalent acuity)
• Utilize electronic health record system (Cerner) for accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in on-call coverage, including 1–2 overnight call shifts per month
• Work one weekend shift per month as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending licensure may be considered at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Pre/Post Cath Lab procedure experience required
• Pre/Post Interventional Radiology procedure experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience in a Level I Trauma, teaching, or acute care hospital setting
